As the cherry blossoms start to bloom, it's the perfect time to enjoy the lovely Sakura Latte.
This special drink is perfect for spring and was a big hit at our recent pop-up.
We're sharing some tips on how to make it at home.
The Sakura Latte was inspired by the beautiful cherry blossom festivals in Japan.
The drink starts with milk that has a hint of cherry blossom flavor, which makes it taste light and fresh.
At Crafti, we wanted to make a drink that feels like spring in a cup, and this latte does just that.
2.5g (1¼ tsp) Ceremonial Uji Matcha Powder
3g Sakura powder
70ml Milk of Choice
2g Sugar (or to taste)
Sieve matcha powder into a cup.
Add warm water, and whisk until clump-free.
Blend milk and sakura powder together in a separate blender.
Fill a cup with ice, pour in the milk blend, then layer with the matcha mixture on top!
Add sweetener to taste
If you want to try making this latte at home, here are a few tips:
Milk: Use your favorite type of milk.
Sakura Mixture: We chose sakura powder for its delicate floral notes, reminiscent of springtime in Japan. It adds a gentle sweetness, much like rose. Stir it into the milk and blend. If you have a frother, use it to create a dreamy, cloud-like texture.
Sweetener: We recommend using a liquid sweetener (like a syrup), or mixing the sugar with the Sakura mixture.
Changed my matcha option for the subscription to try the difference between the ceremonial grade and barista grade. Hope to be able to taste the difference with strong matcha taste too!
I've been using it to make strawberry matcha lattes and its soo pretty <3
Double walled tumbler with volume markings. Appreciate the markings as it allows me to see how much milk to add for my matcha latte. Pretty nice and sturdy!
Crafti's matcha powder is value for money, with good quality powder that has a nice sweet aftertaste, even when enjoyed kosong (without milk!)
The sakura powder on its own is sweet and has a bandung-like taste, it does not really taste like cherry blossom tea that I've tried before. Nonetheless, the subtle rose profile when incorporated into my usual matcha latte is a nice seasonal touch. I still enjoy the original matcha latte without it though. Suggest to add the nutritional information and ingredient list of the sakura powder, as with any other food product, as it looks rather suspicious as a small packet of unlabelled pink powder.

Speedy delivery, made my 1st cup a day after it arrived.Love the taste ..Well balanced
Tried using it for the first time today and I really like how convenient it is. It is totally leak proof, and helped to mix my matcha latte really well. No clumps and my drink stayed cold for more than 6 hrs.
the matcha is indeed high quality and the starter kit is definitely very helpful with small book they gave as well as the clear instructions on every item. All these really helped with my matcha experience and now i drink it everyday ☺️
First time making matcha drinks from the comfort of home. I have avoided matcha based drinks for many years because of 1 isolated incident that taste horrible. Crafti have completed change my perception of Matcha
Loves the combination when it's made with unsweetened almond milk and the sakura has a mild sweetness which is not overpowering . :)
